what we did
In terms of functionality, this is one of our most extensive websites to date. Our designers implemented in-depth custom post type and dynamic content strategies to meet the client’s needs, making sure it was maintainable on their end. Upon completion, the website operates exactly as Walbec envisioned, while also being fully responsive and performing well in search engines.
Problem
The Walbec Group consists of 6 different companies that perform a range of specialty construction and production services, from asphalt manufacturing and paving to aggregate mining and heavy civil construction, and more. They needed a website that was able to relate each of the 6 companies to their respective services, projects, office locations, blog posts, publications and job openings.
Their existing website was functional, but it was not capable of handling this kind of intricate dynamic content. Connecting all of the information to the correct companies, taxonomies and post types had to be set up very carefully, as Walbec’s team needed to be able to update the website on their own.
Solution
To begin to tackle this project, we knew we needed to set up a number of custom post types. We implemented taxonomies and queries that allowed us to link all of the information together seamlessly.
The end result was a highly intuitive, dynamic site that accurately and aesthetically displays every aspect of their company as a whole. Walbec was ecstatic about the end product, and are able to add projects and make various updates without issue.
